Supplementing with Iron

As an athlete do you experience iron deficiency?!Iron is a mineral responsible for carrying oxygen and research shows that athletes need more red blood cells to carry oxygen in their active lifestyle. I personally have dealt with Anemia for over 10 years and the negative side effects it can have on the body. Here is a list of plant base Iron supplements I include in my diet and has kept me on the right track.

Spinach
Broccoli
Lentils
Kale
Baked Potato
Sesame Seed
Cashews
Soy beans
Chick peas
My all time favorite Dark Chocolate

I try and include atleast 3 of these plant base Iron supplements in my diet.
